The annual National Trial Academy, named the country’s top “boot camp for lawyers” by the American Bar Association, returns to The National Judicial College for its renowned program March 25-29, 2017.
The academy is sponsored by the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section of the ABA and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Some of the country’s top trial attorneys serve as faculty for the event, mentoring attorneys new to the profession. In addition to other learning exercises, the academy features a mock trial in the NJC’s Model Courtroom. The trial involves a catastrophic personal injury case.
Participants in the academy include 36 students, approximately 18 each from the plaintiff and defense bars. After the academy, students are critiqued by faculty on the strengths and weaknesses of their arguments.
