The NJC Board of Visitors (formerly known as the Advisory Council) provides leadership, encouragement and support to the overall resource development program of The National Judicial College. Members of the Board of Visitors work with the NJC administration and Board of Trustees in furthering the College's fundraising activities on a national level.

The Board of Visitors is a select group of nationally prominent individuals, as well as those rising to future prominence, who share in NJC's mission to "provide leadership in achieving justice through quality judicial education and collegial dialogue."

They are charged with the vital mission of furthering NJC's goal of providing excellence in judicial education to judges nationwide and throughout the world.

Relied upon by the president and staff for advice on key topics, members of the Board of Visitors bring a cross-section of professional perspectives to improve the administration of justice through education. They serve as a major resource of ideas for our programs and services as well as assist with nationwide fundraising efforts and developing new sources of revenue that strengthen our financial resources for the future.

By being closely associated with an institution that is nationally recognized as a leader in quality judicial education, members have opportunities to:

• Create real solutions to the problems facing the judiciary.

• Make a meaningful difference in the administration of justice.

• Associate with other prominent individuals who share an interest in an accessible, fair and impartial justice system.
