Participants who complete this course will be eligible for certification in states that require a 40-hour education program for certification. After attending this course, participants will be able to conduct a mediation session; outline common standards of conduct and ethical considerations for mediators; handle special problems and avoid classic errors; and summarize the interpersonal dynamics of mediation.

Qualifies as a requirement for the Certificate in Judicial Development, Dispute Resolution Skills program and as an elective in the Administrative Law Adjudication Skills, General Jurisdiction Trial Skills, Special Court Trial Skills, and Tribal Judicial Skills programs.
