This course is fully funded (tuition, course materials, roundtrip transportation, lodging, meal per diem) with a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Applications need to be pre-approved. Maximum 25 participants.

This course offers specialized training for administrative law adjudicators who handled cases in traffic adjudication and licensure arenas. Designed to help ALJ’s identify the scope of driver license suspension, participant’s will review the role of the administrative adjudicator in driver license suspension cases, and learn to conduct efficient, effective administrative traffic hearings through the examination of administrative due process, pharmacology, case management, and ethics that arise in traffic safety driver hearings. The class is a four-day course and has NHTSA scholarship funds available. It is geared toward administrative law adjudicators who may or may not be law-trained.
