Participants are exposed to a wide range of cutting edge issues that affect traffic courts such as the legal concerns of a traffic stop; the uniqueness of a CDL holder; the self-represented defendant; addiction assessment and brain development; effective sentencing for the younger and older traffic offender; unconscious bias in the courtroom; and impaired driving determination - new technology and the SFST.
Qualifies as an elective for the Certificate in Judicial
Development, Administrative Law Adjudication Skills, General Jurisdiction Trial Skills, Special Court Trial Skills
and Tribal Judicial Skills programs.
