Any judge who presides over criminal or civil actions in tribal court should attend this course. After this course, participants will be able to: maintain control of the courtroom; preside over fair and impartial proceedings; implement and enforce court rules for appropriate conduct by advocates; identify and resolve ethical dilemmas; and make solid evidentiary rulings.

Qualifies as an elective for the Certificate in Judicial
Development, Tribal Judicial Skills program.
