In this course, tribal judges and peacemakers will examine the sources of knowledge that influence traditional forms of dispute resolution, discuss the challenges tribes face incorporating traditional practices in tribal law, and create an action plan to implement in their courts. Participants will share ideas, experiences, and perspectives on tribal peacemaking processes in daily talking circles.
Qualifies as a requirement for the Certificate in Judicial Development, Dispute Resolution Skills program and as an elective for the Certificate in Judicial Development, Tribal Judicial Skills program.
