This course focuses on such fundamental rights as habeas corpus, trial by jury, and equal protection. After attending this course, participants will be able to trace the continuum of legal rights from medieval England to contemporary times; discuss landmark documents, statutes, and cases on fundamental legal rights; and relate those landmark documents, statutes, and cases to today’s administration of justice.
