“Handling
Capital Cases was outstanding and exceeded my
expectations. While giving a strong constitutional overview of the death
penalty, the instructors provided practical information and tools for
every phase of a capital case, with numerous handouts available in hard
copy and email. This class was invaluable to me and has given me a new
sense of confidence in handling the capital case I am currently dealing
with. All of the instructors were outstanding.”
-- Hon. Joseph
V. Ochoa,
Circuit Court Judge,
Marion County,
Salem, OR

“I
want to thank you and your staff and faculty for the wonderful job you
all did with the Advanced Evidence course I attended. I will have been
a judge for 27 years at the end of 2005 and have kept pretty much up-to-date
on evidence during that whole period. Yet, despite those many years of
bench experience,
I can truly say that I benefited greatly from this class. In essence,
this course has boosted my enthusiasm for my work as a judge. I plan to
remain in office for another 6 to 12 years, so recharging my batteries
was a good thing for me – as well as for those who come before my
court.”
-- Hon. Stephen K. Willcox,
Circuit Court Judge,
Schuyler County
Associate Division,
Lancaster, MO
