“The judiciary is the final repository of our rights and freedoms. If we can’t ensure these rights and freedoms in a court of law, then we don’t really have them. Without an impartial judiciary we would have anarchy.” Walter

Hon. Gregory Holiday, |
Hon. Gregory Holiday Judge Gregory Holiday, a NJC faculty member and longtime donor from Michigan, has made it a priority to support the NJC and has generously contributed in various ways throughout the years. In addition to his annual gifts, he has donated back his travel reimbursements and in 2005, he provided an in-kind gift of a “Justice Learning Kiosk.” In 2006,
Judge Holiday donated to the College in a new way – he took advantage
of our
secure, easy and stamp-free online donation page. |
||
He had this to say about his experience, “The process was simple and secure – it’s a lot easier to click on a link and use your credit card, than having to remember to get your donation in the mail, especially if you don’t have a stamp handy.” Judge Holiday is one of the supporters who helped to make 2006 a successful year in fundraising. The National Judicial College would like to thank all of the generous alumni, donors and friends who helped us to surpass our fundraising goals in 2006. We raised more than $636,000, a 28 percent increase from the previous year! This total includes more than $316,000 in unrestricted dollars, which will enable the NJC to further its mission of serving justice through judicial education. The money
raised in 2006 will benefit hundreds of judges this year by providing
much-needed scholarships. It will also allow us to enhance our existing
programs, as well as create new and innovative courses that will better
prepare the judicial community for the challenges that lie ahead for our
nation’s courts. To learn more about how you can take advantage of the many ways to support The National Judicial College, please click here. If you would like additional information about the NJC or assistance with meeting your charitable goals for 2007, please contact Gretchen Alt Sawyer, Director of Development at (775) 327-8257.
