2011 a Successful Year at the NJC

All of us at the National Judicial College are incredibly grateful for the support of the NJC community that has made this year very successful despite the many challenges faced by the justice system. In 2011:

• The NJC educated more than 3,000 judges through a variety of educational opportunities, including our foundational courses, web offerings, in state programs, grant initiatives and courses specifically designed to motivate the experienced judge.

• Our faculty, made up of recognized experts in their fields, contributed over $1.5 million in volunteer instruction because they believe in the power of a knowledgeable, educated and professional judiciary.

• And finally, the NJC staff and faculty continued to develop new educational initiatives that give judges the knowledge and skills they need to meet the contemporary demands of their profession.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone – the NJC Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors, the faculty and staff as well as course participants and donors – who helped us fulfill NJC’s mission of education – innovation - advancing justice this past year. We certainly could not have accomplished all that we did without your help.
