Brighten the Future with a Planned Gift to the NJC

4/9/2008

Leaving a gift to the NJC through a bequest is an excellent way to leave a legacy and brighten the future for judicial education. Planned gifts benefit the NJC for generations to come and provide tax benefits to donors. There are many options for leaving a gift through an estate and a popular method is to leave a gift to the NJC in a will. A gift made by will can be simple to arrange. A provision or amendment prepared by your attorney at the time you make or update your will or trust is all that is necessary. Gifts via wills are popular because they are easy to arrange and may be changed at any time you choose. Another benefit to an estate gift is that many donors who may not be able to make a generous gift today because of financial obligations, can feel good knowing that a planned gift will benefit the College at a later time.

The NJC has established a Legacy Council and all planned giving donors become members of this special Council. Council members receive invitations to the NJC’s events and are recognized.
