Board of Trustees Chair Saul Wolfe - A Committed Visionary 11/7/2008
This year’s chair of the NJC’s Board of Trustees is Saul Wolfe, founding member of Skoloff & Wolfe, P.C. in Livingston, New Jersey. Mr. Wolfe has been an NJC Trustee since 2003 and became chair of the Board this year. He took the helm during an extremely difficult economic period. “Saul, along with the other trustees, has provided wise counsel and support for initiatives to move the NJC forward during this challenging time,” said Hon. William F. Dressel, president of the NJC. Recently, Mr. Wolfe reinforced his commitment to the NJC by increasing his year-end contribution by 50 percent in recognition of today’s economic constraints. Mr. Wolfe said, “As a non-profit organization, I understand the need that the NJC has for individuals to make contributions that enhance the excellent judicial education programs at the NJC. Individual donations are vital to strengthening the organization and allowing it to grow and continue being the best judicial education organization in the country.” The NJC’s trustees are important leaders who, among other things, set policy for the future of the organization. Individually and as a group, trustees foster a climate of excellence, promote the development of innovative judicial education programs, and challenge the staff to fulfill the NJC’s mission. The 18 members of the board come from the legal and corporate fields as well as from the judiciary. NJC trustees understand the importance of fundraising and we are proud to announce that the trustees are being recognized with a 100 Percent Club Certificate from the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. This recognition was awarded to eleven non-profit organizations in northern Nevada that had 100 percent board member participation through giving gifts to their organizations in 2007. Please join these dedicated leaders of the NJC in supporting an organization that upholds democracy and the rule of law, and the advancement of justice through judicial education. To make a contribution to the NJC, visit the How to Give page or contact Gretchen Alt Sawyer at (800) 25-JUDGE for more information.
