Public opinion about legalization of marijuana has gotten ahead of the science. Laws decriminalizing both medical and recreational use are increasing. Under Federal Law, however, marijuana remains classified as a Schedule I drug – one that’s highly addictive and which has no medical use. What does all this mean for your state and the kinds of cases you will see?
After this webcast, the participants will be able to:
- Articulate the difference between decriminalization and legalization;
- List the medical uses of THC and CBD; and
- Rule on medical marijuana defenses in civil and criminal cases.
This webcast’s faculty is Judge Peggy Fulton Hora who is retired from the California Superior Court. She had a criminal assignment that included presiding over the Drug Treatment Court.
