Judge Adam Fisher Jr., alumnus, instructor and past chair of the Faculty Council, passed away on August 17 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was 76.
Judge Fisher joined the municipal court bench in Greenville County in 1973 and served for more than 30 years. He previously served as a tribal judge for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and as a municipal judge in Liberty, South Carolina. He served in the Navy before receiving his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Judge Fisher first attended classes at the College in 1985 and joined the faculty in 1991. He volunteered as an instructor for more than 20 years. In this 2013 video interview, he discusses his role and belief in the NJC.
