NJC Communications Staff Wins Second Ace Award for Villains of the Courtroom Campaign

6/19/2007

The National Judicial College’s Communications Office took home the top award in the Non-Profit Marketing Campaign category at the 2007 Ace Awards, May 18, 2007, at Harrah’s Convention Center in Reno. The American Marketing Association’s Ace Award was presented to the NJC for its marketing, branding and communications efforts, created by Communications Director Trace Robbers, Graphic Designer Christina Nellemann, Scholarship Officer Nancy Copfer, Communications Specialist Heather Singer and Studio G Design.

“I am extremely proud of my Communications Office staff,” expressed Robbers, who accepted Friday’s award. “The College has a top-notch team that works hard to produce materials that are both creative and effective. The Villains of the Courtroom campaign along with other marketing and branding products, received positive feedback nationwide and increased awareness of the College.”

In addition to the Ace Award, the NJC was also presented with a Certificate of Excellence for its monthly email marketing newsletter, Judicial Edge. The Villains of the Courtroom project was also recognized in November of 2006 with the Silver Spike Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. This recent Ace Award was the second received by the NJC Communications Office, which also took home an Ace Award in 2005 in the Non-Profit Marketing Campaign category.

“There are some very talented marketing organizations in our area, which makes this recent honor even more special,” said Robbers. In the past four years, Robbers and his staff have received eight national awards.
