NJC to Hold eDiscovery Webcasts

7/21/2009

CCTI

This webcast series, co-sponsored by the Corporate Counsel Technology Institute at Widener University School of Law, will provide the participants with a recognition of the challenges courts face with eDiscovery. All types of civil or criminal litigation can be affected by the enormous amounts of email and other electronic data that are created each day. These courses will include a 360 degree perspective of the eDiscovery process, including as appropriate to each webcast module, a panel of state judges, plaintiff and defense attorneys, corporate counsel, technology experts and law professors leading the discussions. After attending this series, participants will be able to: define common eDiscovery terms; identify state and federal rules changes and case law; and be aware of eDiscovery’s impact on the judicial process. Additionally, the faculty will discuss and analyze cost, data accessibility and preservation issues. The need for collaboration among all parties will be highlighted.

Participants may enroll in all or any of the eDiscovery webcasts. The curriculum of each webcast is designed to stand on its own without a prerequisite. Each webcast will begin at Noon Pacific Time and last until 1:15 p.m. Pacific Time.

The cost of each webcast is $50.00. To register for a webcast, please visit http://judges.webex.com. Click on the tab entitled “Upcoming.” If you wish to pay by purchase order or if you have questions about the series, please contact Joseph Sawyer.
