2/07 Hon. Gregory Holiday

This year, at The National Judicial College we are taking the time to commemorate our NJC FIRSTs. These FIRSTs are the highlights of the NJC’s long and celebrated history providing quality education for our nation’s judiciary to advance fair and impartial justice.

As the FIRST national judicial organization, we have been on the forefront of providing professional judicial education to judges across the nation and around the world since 1963. That training has consisted of courses such as General Jurisdiction, Administrative Law: Fair Hearing and Civil Mediation – a few of the FIRST courses to have helped our alumni become more efficient, more effective, and more confident on the bench. Last year alone, we saw more than 3,000 participants enrolled in our 95 resident courses, seminar series or programs, and through our scholarship program, we provided more than $500,000 in scholarship assistance to 419 participants.

In 1972, the NJC’s building was dedicated on the University of Nevada, Reno, campus. This was made possible by FIRST donors, such as the Max C. Fleischmann Foundation, the American Bar Association, and judges across America. The generosity of many has allowed theNJC to grow and provide challenging education for judges across the country and around the world. Donors continue to make many more FIRSTs possible at the NJC.

If you would like to join with the hundreds of generous NJC alumni and friends who support our work and help us break ground on more FIRSTs at The National Judicial College, please click here to be redirected to our secure and hassle-free online donation page.

If you would prefer to speak directly to Development Director Gretchen Alt Sawyer about making a gift to the NJC, please contact her toll-free at (800) 25-JUDGE or alt@judges.org.

Your contribution today will allow us to continue our mission of providing leadership in achieving justice through quality judicial education and collegial dialogue. Thank you in advance for considering a gift to the NJC, the place where judges come FIRST.

Sincerely,

Hon. William F. Dressel, President
