Mental health researcher Dawn D’Amico is working on a book to help legal professionals understand and cope with secondary trauma. That’s the phenomenon of being traumatized by exposure to people who have been traumatized. Among judges, this can come from years of listening to gruesome testimony.
D’Amico is looking to gather case studies from legal professionals in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
