Justice Coaching Center
The National Judicial College acquired the Justice Coaching Center in late 2024. Justice Coaching Center founder Dr. Jan Bouch has been intimately involved in transitioning the program to the NJC and is training new judicial coaches for the program. The NJC will begin accepting new clients in the winter of 2026, with the first invitations being limited to recent graduates of General Jurisdiction.
The Justice Coaching Center develops and trains court system leaders as coaches so they can help new and established justice system stakeholders navigate their careers. There is a comprehensive, multiple-layered resiliency program that focuses on a personal balance in managing the technical, emotional, and compassion fatigue associated with the roles in the courts and justice system. The program supports judges in developing insight and awareness to move through a variety of case types and other assignments. The program is also designed to support those who work close to the court system, including court administrators, victim advocates, attorneys and others. The Justice Coaching Center is a constructive alternative to judicial performance commissions and participants may self-refer or be referred from their presiding judge, court system, or the judicial conduct/commission in their jurisdiction.
The Justice Coaching Center uses experienced coaches who have undergone the Associate Certified Coach credential through the International Coaching Federation. Through their extensive training, coaches are accredited and meet the core competencies and ethics standards.
