Leadership Enrichment & Jurisprudence Skills Certificate Requirements

One of the following is required:

  • Administrative Law: Fair Hearing, plus 5-credit elective
  • General Jurisdiction or, in lieu of General Jurisdiction, Military Judge Course — JAG, Charlottesville, VA (Applies to military judges only. Must show proof of completion.)
  • Special Court Jurisdiction
  • Special Court Jurisdiction: Advanced

Four of the following are required:

  • Leadership for Judges
  • Management Skills for Presiding Judges
  • Decision Making
  • Ethical Issues in the Law: A Novel Approach
  • Ethics, Fairness and Security in Your Courtroom and Community
  • Judicial Philosophy and American Law
  • Today’s Justice: The Historic Bases
  • When Justice Fails: Threats to the Independence of the Judiciary
  • Mindfulness for Judges

After completing the requirements, any additional courses from the list above may be applied as elective courses (5 credits each).

  • The Anti-Racist Courtroom: Theory and Practice 5 credits
