The National Judicial College (NJC) will host a mixer between the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law Northern Nevada Alumni Chapter and the Reno Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) at 5:30 p.m. on May 5.
The event also will include a talk on intellectual property law by UNLV Boyd School of Law Professor Marketa Trimble.
“The National Judicial College is happy to facilitate the connection between Boyd School of Law alumni, many of whom are just entering the law profession, and trial lawyers who are seasoned in their practice and can provide valuable mentorship to those beginning their career,” said Chad Schmucker, president of The National Judicial College. “We are also pleased to introduce Professor Marketa Trimble, a renowned intellectual property expert, to the Northern Nevada community.”
Marketa Trimble is the Samuel S. Lionel Professor of Intellectual Property Law at UNLV Boyd School of Law. She is an expert in intellectual property, patent law, copyright law and European Union Law. Trimble’s comparative, doctrinal and empirical work draws on her extensive research experience and governmental expertise and centers on international intellectual property law and transnational disputes over intellectual property.
