Longtime faculty member Gregory Holiday retires

Hon. Gregory Holiday, administrative law judge for the Social Security Administration’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review in Detroit, Michigan, retired from the regular faculty of Administrative Law: Fair Hearing. Holiday, who is an alumnus of The National Judicial College and joined the faculty in 1991, retired after 25 years. NJC’s Chief Academic Officer Joy Lyngar stated, “The NJC Experience relies on a model of judges teaching judges. Our faculty is comprised of active judges from around the country who volunteer their time. Judge Holiday has given generously of his expertise to benefit hundreds of new judges with a corresponding immeasurable impact on the field.†Holiday is also a former chair member of the Faculty Council at the NJC. He holds a bachelor’s from Eastern Michigan University and Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit-Mercy.

The NJC is the nation’s leading provider of judicial education housed in a state-of-the-art building on the historic 255-acre campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Annually, the College offers more than 100 courses, held onsite, online, and across the nation. In 2014, the College served 10,000 judges.
