On September 29, 2014, The National Judicial College held a reception in the beautiful Upper Great Hall at the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington D.C. Nearly 200 NJC donors, supporters, participants, faculty, Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors attended the event and heard remarks by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

“I am very familiar with your organization,†said Justice Scalia. “I support what you do and I hope you have another successful 50 years.â€
“The event provided a great opportunity for NJC to highlight our important work in the nation’s Capital. We are profoundly grateful to Justice Scalia and our Board of Trustees for making this opportunity possible,†said Chad Schmucker, president of the NJC.
In addition to the reception, the College’s Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors held a meeting at the offices of the American Bar Association to discuss the activities of the College.
