The NJC’s new website was made possible through generous grants from the NV Energy Foundation, the Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation and the E.L. Cord Foundation
“We are grateful to these three public-spirited Nevada organizations for supporting creation of our new online home,” said NJC President Benes Aldana. “Although the College serves judges from every state and many foreign countries, we have been proud to call Nevada home since 1964.”
The NV Energy Foundation, philanthropic arm of the state’s major electric utility, makes grants in support of arts and culture, education/STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), environment/community enhancement and safety/wellness.
The Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation, created from the estate of the attorney of the same name, supports human services, basic needs, arts and culture, health, animals, recreation, seniors and youth in Nevada.
The E.L. Cord Foundation, named for the pioneering radio broadcaster, supports primarily secondary and higher education, including colleges and universities, social services and youth organizations, and cultural organizations.
