Jailable and nonjailable traffic cases form the backbone of much of the work of judges, particularly those who preside in courts of limited jurisdiction.

To effectively and responsibly handle traffic cases, judges must not only manage their dockets, weigh evidence and apply legal principles, but also provide meaningful access to the courts for all parties. At the same time, judges have the ability to impact lives and change communities by the decisions they make each day. This session will delve into the role that judges play, both inside and outside the courtroom, in the handling of traffic cases.
