Dividing the Waters offers several kinds of water law education: conferences, webinars, and on-line/on demand courses. Conferences are usually organized at 18 month intervals, in different watersheds, where judges can learn about local challenges as well as how to address the broader challenges of water adjudication. The conferences include a field day during which attendees see local conditions and talk with local water managers and scholars. The quarterly webinars typically address water law fundamentals or timely topics, such as recent important court decisions. The on-line/on demand courses are presented by subject matter experts and available to states that have financially contributed to their development.
